Cramerton junk removal
Cramerton picks up bulk items every Monday at no listed charge. The junk removal companies listed here are for what the town leaves at the curb.
Town details from official town and county sources, checked October 2026.
Cramerton is a town of 5,296 people (2020 census) in ZIP code 28032, with part of town in 28012. Its Public Works crews already collect household bulk items and appliances weekly, so a couch or a refrigerator rarely needs a paid hauler. The companies below are for the rest: air conditioners, lawnmowers, tires, remodel debris and jobs too big to drag outside. We list them; we don't do the work.

The town started in 1906 as Mayesworth, built around J.H. Mayes's mill. Stuart Cramer bought it, turned it into a model mill village and gave the town his name in 1921. The South Fork Catawba River still bends through the middle, and Goat Island Park is reached by two footbridges. Mayworth School joined the National Register in 2002.
Wilkinson Boulevard (US 29/US 74) is the main road, and New Hope Road (NC 279) forms the southwest border. Those are the roads a hauler's truck will use, and the ones you will drive if you take a load to a county site yourself.
Have eligible bulk items and appliances at the curb by 7:00 AM Monday, apart from yard waste and off the street and sidewalk. The town lists no fee. For a sofa or a washer you can move on your own, that beats any paid option.
The leave-behind list is specific: electronics, air conditioners, tires, lawnmowers, propane canisters, motor oil, antifreeze, paint and hazardous waste. Construction and contractor debris is out too, including brick, concrete, lumber, siding, shingles, dirt and rocks. For those, the town points residents to Gaston County Solid Waste at 704-922-0267.
The items Cramerton skips are the same ones that tend to cost extra with a hauler. Window units and dehumidifiers hold refrigerant, and published fees in the area run from nothing to about $40 per appliance. The one local per-tire fee we found is $8.
Heavy debris is the big variable. Many Charlotte-area companies price brick, concrete and shingles by weight, though few publish a rate. Published Charlotte-area prices (October 2026) include $219 for a quarter truck of concrete. Ask for the weight allowance in writing before a demolition pile goes on the truck. The construction debris removal page lists more questions worth asking.
For a general load of household junk, published prices from Charlotte-area companies (October 2026) put a half truck at a median of $431. None of the companies listed here has promised that figure, so use it only to judge whether a quote looks reasonable.
Most of the leave-behind list has a county home. Full-service recycling centers take electronics, used motor oil, antifreeze and up to five passenger tires a day, free off the rim. A TV or monitor costs 1 GarbCard ($5). Oil-based paint and old gasoline wait for one of the county's household hazardous waste events in Dallas, held four times a year, so check the county for the next date.
Brick, lumber and shingles go to the Gaston County Landfill on Philadelphia Church Road, at $46 per ton with a half-ton minimum. An uncovered or unsecured load adds a $200 surcharge, so tarp and tie it down. The Where to take it guide lists hours for every site.
