Methodology
How We List Junk Removal Companies
Who gets listed, what we check, how the list is ordered, and how the one paid spot works. If a listing is wrong, this page also explains how to get it fixed.
The short version
- Listing is free, and paying never changes the free list.
- Phone numbers and towns come from each company’s own pages.
- One labeled Featured spot per town page is paid.
- No ratings from us; we link to each company’s Google reviews.
Who gets listed
A company is listed when it does residential junk removal, hauling or cleanouts, and its own website, Google Business Profile, Facebook page or Better Business Bureau record says it serves at least one Gaston County town or Gaston County as a whole. That includes local independents, owner-operators and the local locations of national franchises whose territory pages name Gaston County towns.
We leave out booking apps and marketplaces, call-forwarding sites that send your call to whichever company pays for it, dumpster-only rental companies, businesses that look closed, and companies whose identity we can’t confirm. When we checked in October 2026, 13 more companies were on hold while a detail is confirmed, and 121 were left out under these rules.
What we check
For every listing, one researcher gathers the details and a second, separate check reads them again on the company’s own pages: the business name, the phone number digit by digit, and each Gaston County town the company names. A listing goes live only when both agree. Each company page links to the pages we checked.
We publish only business information: name, phone, website, the town a company says it is based in, the towns it names and the services it lists. We don’t publish street addresses, owners’ names, or anything a company hasn’t published itself.
How the list is ordered
On each town page, companies that name that town on their own site come first. Companies that say they cover all of Gaston County, without naming the town, come next. Within each group, companies based in that town come first, then companies based elsewhere in Gaston County, then everyone else in alphabetical order. We don’t rank companies by quality, and nobody can pay to move up the free list.
The Featured spot
Each town page has room for one Featured company at the top. That company pays for the spot, and it is always labeled “Featured” and “paid”. A Featured company still has to meet every listing rule above. When no company holds the spot, it shows an open notice instead. Links from a Featured listing are marked as sponsored for search engines.
Prices on this site
Price ranges on the service and town pages come from price sheets that Charlotte-area companies publish on their own websites, collected in October 2026. They show what is typical, not what any company here will charge you. Always get a written price from the company.
Reviews
We don’t rate companies or publish reviews. Each listing links to a Google Maps search for the company so you can read its reviews where they were written.
Corrections and removal
If you own a listed company and something is wrong, or you want your listing removed, use the Get listed form or call (980) 494-2307. We check the change against your own pages and update the listing. Consumers who find an outdated detail can use the same form.
Who runs this directory
Junk Removal Gaston is an independent directory focused on Gaston County. It doesn’t provide junk removal, it isn’t a company listed here, and it has no ownership in any listed company. A Featured placement is an ad, not an award or a rating. See the About page.
